TONY RODRIGUEZ: Drums & Vocals
Tony is a native of South Florida and a veteran of the music scene there. Playing drums since the age of 10, his tasteful percussive and vocal abilities have opened doors for him to play with such legends as Gregg Allman and Buddy Miles. Tony moved his family to central Florida a few years back and signed on as the drummer and vocalist for the Nite Owls. We are now very fotunate to have Tony contribute his precise funky drumming and soulful vocals to the Mojo Sandwich sound.
GUY BLACK: Bass Guitar
Born and raised in Brevard County Florida, Guy began playing bass in 1980. After taking several years off to raise his family and build a career as a software Engineer, he joined the Brevard music scene playing with the likes of The Mills Brothers, Buck Barefoot, Danny Jones, Blues Alibi, Johnny Fever, Sam Gorman, and The Nite Owls. Guy’s savory rhythmic and melodic playing is an important aspect of the Mojo Sandwich rhythm section.
Greg grew up in Minnesota and began playing drums at the age of 11. For years he was the drummer for various Minnesota bands and still periodically plays in the Minnesota group US & the USettes. For a few years Greg lived in Colorado where he was a studio musician for Tumbleweed Records working with Dan Holien, Dewey Terry, Robb Kunkel, Michael Stanley, Howard Roberts, Joe Walsh and the producers Bill Szymczyk and Ed Michel. He then attended the University of Missouri Conservatory of Music where he received a bachelor of music composition degree. Joining the Brevard music scene in 2006 as keyboardist for The Nite Owls Greg has continued to develop his unique style influenced by classical, blues, rock, jazz and jazz-fusion. Since 2009 Greg has been involved with the jazz fusion recording project Anonymous Inventions, for which he composes original music and plays various instruments. Whether soulful or funky, his versatile playing has become an integral part of the Mojo Sandwich sound.
DAVE SCOTT: Guitar & Vocals
Dave Scott has been a musician since the age of 7. He has spent most of his life playing guitar and song writing. At the age of 14 he started playing in local clubs and within a few years started earning a living as a guitarist. At the age of 17, he had his first record, "Tuff Luck", released on New Renaissance Record Label. It sold over 50,000 copies. During this time he was featured in many National Publications such as, "Guitar Player", "Guitar for the Practicing Musician" and "Guitar World" magazines, just to name a few.
In 2002 Dave moved to the Los Angeles area to expand his career. He spent his years there working on projects with several great musicians. Non-Toxic, a project with the late great, Tony Thompson, drummer of Chic, Power Station, David Bowie and many others. He recorded a CD and played live shows with vocalist, Matt Kramer of Saigon Kick. He co-founded a project, Martyr Plot, with drummer, Ginger Fish of Marilyn Manson. As part of the Los Angeles based group, The Forward, he and the band recorded their debut CD, which was released in August of 2008. From this debut CD, 5 songs were licensed and played on major network television shows. Returning to Florida, Dave is now playing guitar with David Shelley & Bluestone and Most recently has joined with Mojo Sandwich.
